• BJ Pinnock, LCSW

    BJ is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) who earned her master’s degree from Rutgers University. She has over 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and older adults, in both outpatient agencies and inpatient treatment facilities. She has training in solution-focused brief therapy, motivational interviewing, parent child interaction therapy, trauma focused-cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness.

    BJ Pinnock specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for treatment of trauma, depression, anxiety, stress, grief and loss. Her treatment philosophy is grounded in the context of family and interpersonal relationships.

    BJ approaches therapy collaboratively and believes therapy should be an empowering and goal-directed experience that leaves the client feeling more self-aware and equipped to deal with life’s challenges. Her experience in working with diverse populations has shown her that people are resilient and capable of making positive change. BJ is committed to providing evidence-based treatment to individuals, couples and families. It is her practice to provide a supportive atmosphere where she listens without judgment and joins her clients in the process of reaching goals through problem solving, acquiring coping skills, and improving self-esteem, which lead to a more fulfilling and satisfying quality of life.
