• Dawn Bermudez, LCSW

    Dawn is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with a master’s degree from Rutgers University. She has over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families. Dawn has practiced in school settings, providing counseling, and in community settings, handling child welfare and mobile response cases.

    She is currently offering counseling at the Mindful Counseling Center to children, ages 8 and up, teenagers and adults. She has a strong focus on helping people who are coping with anxiety, depression and other life stressors learn healthy coping skills to assist them in living their best life.

    Dawn has training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), parent child interaction therapy (PCIT) and parent management training (PMT). She tends to take an eclectic approach and pulls from a variety of therapeutic modalities as appropriate to address individual client needs. She works collaboratively with clients while providing a supportive environment of understanding and acceptance.

    Aside from her work, Dawn enjoys spending time reading, playing all types of board or cards games with family and friends, and enjoys nature while walking, gardening and being on the beach.
